Astrologer Partner Terms

Last Updated: 20 October 2026

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you, the astrologer, and GenOrbit Innovations Private Limited ("GenOrbit", "we"), which runs Astro Vedica. They apply to every consultation, written report and other service you provide to Astro Vedica customers, and to your use of the Astrologer Portal. You accept them by ticking the box and pressing Accept in the Portal; we keep a record of the version, date and time.

2. Your role

  • You work as an independent professional. You are not our employee, agent or partner, and nothing in these terms creates employment. You decide how you practise and you are responsible for the guidance you give.
  • The details on your profile — name, experience, qualifications, languages — must be true and kept up to date.
  • Astrology is guidance. Never promise a guaranteed outcome, never advise a customer to stop medical treatment, and never give legal, medical or investment advice.

3. Bookings and customer payments

  • Customers pay GenOrbit through Astro Vedica. GenOrbit is the seller: it issues the customer's invoice and handles refunds. You provide the session on GenOrbit's behalf.
  • Do not take payment from an Astro Vedica customer directly, and do not move them off the platform for paid work, during these terms and for 12 months after a customer's last booking with you through us.
  • Join booked sessions on time. If you cannot, tell us as early as possible so we can rebook or refund the customer.

4. Platform fee (commission)

Your fee for a booking is worked out on your own session rate (the 15-minute price set for you on Astro Vedica, pro rata for the booked length), not on what the customer paid. GenOrbit keeps a platform fee, charged as a percentage of that rate. It covers running the platform, marketing, payment gateway charges and customer support. Your fee is the rest.

Current platform fee: 30%. Example: on a session at your rate of ₹300 you earn ₹210.

  • A discount the customer receives, or a booking passed to you from another astrologer whose price is higher or lower, does not change your fee: it is always your own rate for the booked length.
  • We may add a bonus to, or make a deduction from, a fee or a payout. Each one is shown with its reason on your transaction advice or payout statement.
  • GenOrbit may change the rate. We will tell you through the Portal or by email at least 7 days before a new rate applies.
  • A new rate applies only to bookings made after it takes effect. Each booking keeps the rate in force when it was booked, and that rate is printed on its transaction advice.
  • If you do not agree with a new rate, you can stop taking bookings or end these terms (section 10). Continuing to take bookings after it takes effect means you accept it.

5. Transaction advices, payouts and statements

  • For every paid booking we issue you a numbered transaction advice showing your rate for the session, the platform fee, any bonus or deduction, and your fee. If a booking changes (for example it is passed to another astrologer), its advice is cancelled and, where it is yours, reissued. You can see and download all of them in the Portal under Payouts.
  • Your fee becomes payable once the session is completed (including when the customer does not turn up). We pay earned fees at least once a month to a bank account or UPI ID in your own name.
  • Self-billing. For each payout we prepare a numbered payout statement listing every booking it covers, any deduction and the amount paid. You agree that this statement, prepared by us on your behalf, serves as your bill for those fees, so you do not need to send us an invoice. If you are registered under GST, tell us your GSTIN and we will ask you for a tax invoice instead.
  • Check each statement. If something is wrong, tell us within 30 days; after that it is treated as accepted, except for an obvious error, which we will always correct.

6. Cancellations, refunds and reversals

  • No fee is payable for a booking that is cancelled, that you do not attend, or that is refunded because of a complaint we uphold.
  • If such a booking was already paid out to you, the fee is reversed: it is deducted from your next payout and shown as a reversal line on that statement.

7. Taxes

  • You are responsible for your own income tax and, if you are registered, GST on your fees.
  • Where the law requires, we deduct tax at source (for example under section 194J of the Income-tax Act once your fees in a financial year cross the limit), deposit it against your PAN, and show it on your statement. Give us your correct PAN; without it the law requires a higher deduction.

8. Customer information and confidentiality

  • Use a customer's name, birth details and questions only to give that customer their session. Do not share, sell or keep them after you no longer need them, and do not record a session without the customer's clear consent. This is required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • Keep your Portal login private. You are responsible for anything done with it.

9. Your profile and content

You allow GenOrbit to show your name, photo, profile and any articles you submit on Astro Vedica and in its promotion, for as long as these terms last (and for articles, until you ask us to remove them). You confirm you have the right to share them.

10. Pausing and ending

  • Either of us can end these terms with 7 days' notice by email or through the Portal.
  • We may pause your profile or bookings straight away if a customer's safety is at risk or these terms are seriously broken, and will tell you why.
  • When the terms end, we pay any earned fees still due, less reversals, in the next payout.

11. Liability

Each of us is responsible for our own acts. You will make good any loss GenOrbit suffers from a claim caused by your advice or by breaking these terms. GenOrbit's total liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees payable to you in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

12. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; the Portal will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the place of GenOrbit's registered office have jurisdiction. Questions: write to [email protected] or raise a ticket from the Portal.
