Diwali 2027, Lakshmi Puja, is Friday 29 October, Kartik Amavasya. Dhanteras is Wednesday 27 October. Narak Chaturdashi is the 28th. Govardhan is the 30th. Bhai Dooj is Sunday 31 October. In 2026 the same sequence sat in the second week of November. The Moon moved it.
A trader who “always buys silver in November” will be late in 2027 if he trusts the civil month. Trust the tithi. Guru is in Simha through this Diwali, a month from entering Kanya. Shani is back in Meena from about 20 October, so the Mesha Moon’s middle Sade Sati has paused and the Meena Moon is under Shani again for a few months. The lamps do not cancel that. They mark amavasya.
Buy on the tithi you can explain
Dhanteras remains a day for a utensil, a lamp, and medicine for the year. A non-refundable booking still needs a sober reading, eclipse or no eclipse. There is no solar eclipse on this Diwali. The August eclipse is long past. Do not let a leftover fear set the budget.
The 2026 night is Diwali 2026, when two grahas were retrograde. This one is a different sky.
