The total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027 is partial in northwest India. Sidereal Sun is in Cancer, Pushya. Sutak applies where it is seen.

On 2 August 2027 the Moon covers the Sun along a path through North Africa and Arabia. From India the eclipse is partial, and only toward the northwest is the covering obvious. Greatest eclipse is about 3:37 p.m. IST. In the Lahiri zodiac the Sun stands in Karka, Pushya nakshatra.
Pushya is a nourishing nakshatra, ruled by Shani, and Karka is Chandra’s sign. An eclipse there is not a story about “Cancer personalities.” It is a darkening of Surya in the sign of the home and the mother, on a degree you can look up. People in Delhi may notice a bite taken out of the Sun. People in Chennai may notice very little. Sutak follows the place that sees it.
Do not move Raksha Bandhan for this
Raksha Bandhan is 17 August, a full moon, fifteen days later. The eclipse does not own that thread. Pregnant women, food, and the old rules of sutak belong to the hours of the eclipse where it is visible, as your family already keeps them. They do not belong to the whole month of August.
The full list is the eclipses of 2027. A personal fear about the eclipse degree belongs in a free Kundli, not in a forwarded video.
