Tulsi Vivah and the End of Chaturmas, 2026
Devuthani Ekadashi 2026 is 20 November and Tulsi Vivah is 21 November. Chaturmas ends. A wedding still needs its own muhurat.
By Avinash ChandanPublished Updated
Devuthani Ekadashi falls on Friday 20 November 2026. Tulsi Vivah is Saturday 21 November. Families that have refused weddings through Chaturmas treat the 20th as the morning the ban lifts.
A mother in Ujjain has been saying “after Devuthani” since July. The phrase is a season, not a muhurat. Shukra and Budha are already direct. Shani is still retrograde in Meena until 11 December. The tulsi plant is married to Vishnu that Saturday. A daughter’s marriage still needs tithi, nakshatra, and both charts.
Two clocks, not one blessing
The Diwali retrogrades ended around 13 November. Chaturmas ends on the 20th. A hall booked in the gap is allowed by both clocks and still has to survive a priest’s five checks. Do not hear “the season is open” as “every Thursday is safe.”
Kartik Purnima is 24 November. Matching two people is Kundli matching, not a reading of the plant.
