Vasant Panchami 2027 is widely listed for Thursday 11 February, Magha Shukla Panchami. In Bengal and in many student households it is Saraswati Puja: books closed for a day, instruments placed, a yellow sari, ink that is not yet used.

By 11 February Guru has already re-entered Karka, on 25 January, retrograde and exalted, with Ketu in that sign. Yellow is the colour, not the remedy

Yellow clothes and khichdi are the festival. They are not a substitute for looking at whether Budha or Guru rules the student’s chart. If a child is choosing a stream this spring, the puja can be kept and the form can still wait until Guru is direct, around mid-April 2027. The form is a signature. The puja is a bow.
