Sun sign (sidereal Sun)
Your core drive and how you show up. In Vedic astrology it matters, but less than the Moon and Rising.
AI Astrology
Your birth chart (in Vedic astrology, a kundli), worked out first, then explained in plain words.
Most AI astrology guesses from your Sun sign. Vedica AI does it the other way round. Our engine calculates your actual birth chart from your date, time and place. Then the AI explains what is in it: love, career, timing, your Saturn return.

You may know your Sun, Moon and Rising sign from Western astrology. Vedic astrology uses the same three, but it measures them against the stars, not the seasons. That is called the sidereal zodiac, and it sits about 24 degrees behind the Western one. So your signs can change.
Your core drive and how you show up. In Vedic astrology it matters, but less than the Moon and Rising.
Your inner life and moods. This is the most used sign in Vedic astrology, and it also sets the life chapters (dashas) that time your readings.
The sign on the horizon at the minute you were born. It sets the 12 houses of your chart, so it needs your exact birth time.
Because of the 24 degree gap, your Vedic Sun sign is usually the sign before your Western one if your birthday falls early in the Western sign. Born on 5 August? Western Leo, Vedic Cancer. The Moon and Rising signs can shift too. We show you both, so nothing feels lost.
What you can ask
What your chart says about how you love, what you need, and when a partnership chapter is more likely.
Why do I keep attracting the same type of person?
Strengths, the kind of work that fits your chart, and which years look better for a change.
Is this a good year to switch jobs?
Vedic astrology splits life into chapters (dashas, in the Vedic word) ruled by a planet. The AI tells you which chapter you are in and what it tends to bring.
What life chapter am I in right now?
Saturn takes about 29 years to go round the chart, so your first Saturn return lands near age 29 to 30. Ask what it means for your own chart, not for everyone born that year.
What will my Saturn return feel like for me?
How it works
Date, time and place of birth. The exact time matters most for your Rising sign. If you are unsure, give your best guess and say so.
Planet positions, houses and life chapters are computed by our astrology engine. The AI does no maths and cannot make up a placement.
Ask anything. Vedica AI answers from your chart and keeps the Vedic terms to a minimum, with the technical detail one tap away.
Sidereal vs tropical
Same sky, two ways of marking the zodiac.
| Western (tropical) | Vedic (sidereal) | |
|---|---|---|
| Zodiac is fixed to | The seasons (the March equinox) | The fixed stars |
| Gap today | Starts at 0 degrees Aries each spring | About 24 degrees behind |
| Main focus | Sun sign | Moon sign and Rising sign |
| Timing tool | Transits, progressions | Life chapters (dashas) and transits |
| Born 5 August | Leo | Cancer |
Why trust it
Planet positions come from an astronomical calculation for your exact birth moment. The AI only reads the result.
Answers use your Moon, Rising sign, houses and current life chapter, not the one-line horoscope for your Sun sign.
We ask for date, time and place of birth, nothing else, to build your chart. No card to start.
Astrology is a tool for reflection, not a guarantee. Do not use any reading to make medical, legal or money decisions.
FAQ
Astrology has not been shown to predict events, so treat a reading as a way to reflect, not as fact. What can be real is the maths. Planet positions for your birth moment are exact astronomical calculations. On AstroVedica our engine calculates your chart first and the AI only explains what is in it, so it cannot make up your placements. Do not use any reading for medical, legal or money decisions.
Pick one that calculates your chart with a real astrology engine and shows what it used. General chatbots write fluent astrology, but they often work out planet positions from memory and can get your Moon or Rising sign wrong. A simple test: ask the same question in two tools and check the Moon sign against an ephemeris. Vedica AI is built on the engine-first approach.
Enter your birth date, time and place so a chart can be calculated. Then ask specific questions, such as what life chapter you are in, how your career looks this year, or what your Saturn return means for you. Specific questions give more useful answers than asking for your general future. Use the exact birth time if you have it, because the Rising sign and houses depend on it.

On AstroVedica you get 2 free questions right away on the website, and 2 more plus 1 free minute talking with Vedica, our AI voice astrologer, when you get our Android app. That is 4 free questions in all. No card is needed. You can also generate your birth chart for free. After that you can add credits for more AI answers, or ask a human astrologer.
It can talk about astrology, but it is not built to calculate planet positions, so it may guess your Moon or Rising sign. The Rising sign is the easiest to get wrong because it changes about every two hours. ChatGPT can interpret a chart you paste in from a trusted calculator, so cross-check the positions first. Or use a tool that calculates the chart for you.
Mostly. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which is fixed to the stars. But sidereal only names the zodiac. Vedic astrology also brings its own methods: the Moon as the main sign, 27 lunar mansions (nakshatras), life chapters (dashas) and divisional charts. Some Western astrologers use the sidereal zodiac with Western techniques, and that is not Vedic.
